Aloha Hawaii is a convention that will take place at Ohana Resort in June 1st, 2016. This convention will host 300 guests from all the over the world. The main purpose of this convention is to introduce the Hawaiian culture to the world with interactive activities. We have planned three different events that will take place during this convention. 

Aloha Hawaii will help raise money for a non-profit organization called Friends of Hawaii. Friends of Hawaii is a charity group that provides shelter and food to the victims of natural disasters happening in Hawaii. This convention will also help promote Hawaiian culture, and promote tourism for our resort. 

Our plan is to hold this event once a year to benefit the Friends of Hawaii charity. We want to keep this convention going in order to preserve the meaning of Ohana by providing  various events such as Hula dancing, Sand castle competitions, and a fire breathing show. We prepare for this convention months before hand in order to make this event succesful. We have ambassadors coming from Hawaii to help us execute our plans. 

Our front desk department will be offering special edition glow in the dark leis to all guests that paid to attend. Our food and beverage department will offer a buffet of traditional Hawaiian dishes and a limited edition volcano eruption drink with fireball whiskey. Our housekeeping department will place a lovely basket full of fruits and macadamia nuts in each room. Our mechandise shops will provide limited edition shirts with our Ohana logo and the year of the convention to every attending guests.

Our key message is to educate people about the Hawaiian culture and show the true meaning of Ohana by supoorting the non-profit organization. Through social media we will spread the word about not only our convention but also about the charity we are funding. We will communicate this through our facebook page by continuously updating our supporters. We are also marketing ourselves in other social plattforms such as Twiter by using the hashtag FriendsofHawaii2016. Our target is anyone who could help us with any small to large donations for the Friends of Hawaii charity. 

We will plan the worst case scenarios to ensure our convention will be succesful. We will double check that each operation runs smoothly by evaluating all of our safety guidelines before the event.

After the convention we will provide surveys for every guest and employee to fill out. Therefore we will know any incidents report and hazards that happened throughout the convention. These surveys will also help us learn what we can improve for the following years. Safety is our priority and we want to ensure that not only our guests but also our employees are being secured.
